This storied boulevard is home to beautiful colonial-era architecture, luxury boutiques, and charming cafes. As you walk through, soak in the atmosphere that reflects Saigon’s glamorous past and dynamic present.
Continue to the imposing Reunification Palace, also known as the Independence Palace. This iconic building served as the residence and workplace of the President of South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Step inside to discover preserved rooms, war command bunkers, and historical artifacts that bring the political history of Vietnam to life.
Next, visit the poignant War Remnants Museum, one of the most visited museums in Vietnam. Its powerful exhibits and photographs offer a sobering yet insightful look into the human cost of war and the enduring spirit of the Vietnamese people.

Used by the Viet Cong during the war, these tunnels functioned as hidden bases, communication routes, hospitals, and living quarters. Crawl through a section of the tunnels to feel the narrow, claustrophobic spaces where soldiers once lived and fought. Learn about the ingenuity of the tunnel systems, booby traps, and the daily struggles of those who survived underground.

Along the way, observe the daily life of local residents with scenes of fishing boats, cargo vessels, and waterfront activities bringing the river to life.
Your first stop is a brick kiln, where bricks are still made by hand using traditional methods of molding and baking—a fascinating insight into rural craftsmanship. Continue by boat to a coconut processing workshop, where you’ll learn how locals use every part of the coconut for food, crafts, and more.
Next, turn into the narrow, winding creeks lined with nipa palms, where the waterway narrows into intimate channels that lead to a quiet riverside village. Here, you’ll take a leisurely walk to a local family’s workshop to watch how sleeping mats are woven by hand. Sip on fresh tea, enjoy tropical fruits, and get a taste of Mekong hospitality.
Hop on a motorized cart (xe lôi) or bicycle to travel through a serene countryside path shaded by coconut trees. Ride past lush rice paddies, vegetable gardens, and traditional homes as you connect with the rhythm of rural life and gain a deeper understanding of tropical farming culture.

Early in the morning, your guide will meet you at the hotel for a truly unforgettable cultural experience in the heart of the Mekong Delta. You’ll embark on a boat journey along the winding waterways to visit the Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest and most famous floating market in southern Vietnam. The cruise takes about 50 minutes and offers stunning views of the Delta as the river awakens with life.
Upon arrival, you'll be immersed in the bustling energy of Cai Rang Floating Market, where dozens of boats laden with vibrant tropical produce float side by side, forming a floating bazaar unlike any other. Traders call out their goods while customers weave between the boats to make their purchases. Most sellers hang their goods—pineapples, watermelons, pumpkins, and other fruits—from long poles to show what they offer, creating a colorful and lively scene on the water.
Here, you’ll gain insight into one of the most unique and traditional forms of commerce in Vietnam. This is not just a market for tourists—it’s a true working market, where locals come to buy, sell, and trade fresh produce at reasonable prices, maintaining customs that have existed for generations.
After soaking up the vibrant atmosphere, continue to a local rice noodle workshop, where you’ll witness firsthand how one of Vietnam’s culinary staples—hu tieu (rice noodles)—is produced. Watch skilled workers steam, dry, and cut rice sheets into noodles using simple yet ingenious techniques passed down through families.
Following your visit, say farewell to Can Tho, and begin your relaxing drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. Along the way, stop for lunch at a local restaurant, where you can enjoy more regional specialties in a rustic, authentic setting.
Arrive in Saigon in the afternoon and check in to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure—perhaps take a stroll around the city, do some last-minute shopping, or unwind at a café.
