On August 19, Ho Chi Minh City officially launched its 2025 Tourism Development Stimulus Program, a bold initiative aimed at solidifying the city\u2019s reputation as a vibrant, innovative, and welcoming travel destination. Spearheaded by the city\u2019s Department of Tourism, the program sets high benchmarks for the year ahead, including attracting 10 million foreign tourists and 50 million domestic travelers. The total tourism revenue is expected to surpass VND290 trillion<\/strong> (approximately US$11 billion<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To boost visibility and attract more visitors, the city has partnered with Traveloka Vietnam<\/strong> to roll out a digital marketing campaign promoting tourism in Ho Chi Minh City. As part of the initiative, Traveloka will offer travel e-vouchers worth more than VND4 billion<\/strong> until the end of the year, giving travelers discounts on flight and hotel bookings within the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This effort is supported by a wide network of partners across the tourism and hospitality industries including airlines, hotels, spas, and wellness services\u2014all contributing to an enhanced and more enjoyable visitor experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to traditional tourism promotions, the city is putting a spotlight on its rich culinary heritage. A collaboration with Shopee Food (Foody)<\/strong> has led to the launch of the \u201cCulinary Passport\u201d<\/em> program, inviting tourists to explore the local food scene\u2014from iconic street food to innovative dining experiences. Furthermore, the city will re-release its popular Culinary Guide<\/em>, both in print and digital formats, expanding its coverage to include more neighborhoods and signature dishes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ho Chi Minh City is also reinforcing its role as a key destination for international events. This September, it will host the 19th International Travel Expo (ITE HCMC)<\/strong> at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center, drawing hundreds of tourism businesses from around the world to discuss sustainable tourism trends. Shortly after, the city will welcome representatives from across the Asia-Pacific region for the 12th Congress of the Tourism Promotion Organization (TPO)<\/strong>, focusing on green tourism and aligning economic growth with environmental responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Nguy\u1ec5n Th\u1ecb \u00c1nh Hoa<\/strong>, Director of the city’s Department of Tourism, technology and digital transformation will remain core to enhancing the visitor experience. By working closely with local businesses, the city aims to develop a diverse, modern, and traveler-friendly service infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a wide range of initiatives scheduled from now until the end of the year, Ho Chi Minh City continues to champion its message: \u201cFind your vibes.\u201d<\/strong> The campaign reinforces the city\u2019s image as a lively, creative, and inclusive destination that warmly embraces travelers from near and far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
