In celebration of two major national holidays—the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 – 2025) and Vietnam’s National Day (September 2)—the Hue Monuments Conservation Center will offer free admission to Vietnamese nationals on both dates.
The free entry applies from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on each day and covers all historical sites managed by the center, including:
- Hue Imperial Citadel
- Tombs of Tu Duc, Khai Dinh, and Minh Mang
- Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities
- An Dinh Palace
- Hon Chen Temple, among others.

To access these sites without charge, Vietnamese visitors only need to present a valid national ID card at the entrance.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance public access to cultural heritage and deepen national pride. The center also announced that starting January 1, 2025, Vietnamese citizens will enjoy free access on additional national and cultural holidays, such as the Lunar New Year (1st day), Hue Liberation Day (March 26), and Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).

This move encourages more local engagement with Vietnam’s imperial legacy, offering both educational and recreational value to visitors while honoring important milestones in the country’s history.
